Who am I?
What is my name?
My name is Madison Roseanne Boychuk. Where am I from? I was born and raised in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. How old am I? I am 21 years old! What year of university am I in? I am currently in my third year, it's going by so fast! |
Background
I grew up with one older brother, two younger sisters and my parents. My family were very supportive throughout my life and always pushed me to do the best of my ability. After I graduated high school, I took a year off and worked at the Hudson Bay Early Learning Centre. I never knew what I wanted to be when I graduated. After working at the daycare for the year, I knew that I would enjoy working with children. I loved every minute of working at the daycare. When I applied for education and got accepted, I was so excited! It's crazy to think that I am in my third year already, I've learned so much from all the different education classes that I have taken. From what I've learned, I will carry with me as a future teacher!

Professional Development Goals
Why do I want to teach? I want to teach because I want to inspire students to do their very best and show the world what they are capable of. From what I know now, I understand how hard it can be to be a teacher and I want to challenge myself to take on this amazing career. My overall goal is to motivate, inspire and teach little minds about the world, curriculum and other life lessons. I believe that it's important to build strong relationships with each student and make them all feel included in your classroom space. I will strive for them to always be kind to one another because we need more love in this world! |

2018 Growth
Over the past weeks of going to my placement, I've learned so many great things! I had an amazing (small) group of students. I also had fantastic cooperating teacher and field partner. The experience allowed me to help the students learn and expand their knowledge. There were a variety of activities that made learning fun that I loved and that the children also enjoyed. The students were all unique in their own way and I'm thankful I had the privilege to build a special relationship with each one of them. For all the things that I have learned throughout the past few weeks, I will take and carry with me for my future teaching!
